The Animated Life
of Arthur Humberstone

December March 2025

Exhibition, Print

Working with the sons of legendary british animator Arthur Humberstone, I brought his beautiful work to life through the medium of exhibition.

Inspired by the common usage of pinboards within animation studios, notably Arthur’s, I installed the text using cork and pins. Printed on tan transparent paper, it mimics the look of animator paper.

Don-Humber Biosphere

Made in collaboration with Ned Messer and Doncaster City Council.

Brand identity system, Website and Social Media collateral for upcoming Doncaster and Humberhead Levels Unesco biosphere.

The brand is rooted in the layers both literal & symbolic – that define the Don-Humber Biosphere. Visually, the brand places the landscape at the centre, reflecting the wide & rugged terrain of the peatlands. Beneath the surface lies a deeper meaning: the many thousand year old layers of moss that form peat – capturing centuries of history, culture & carbon.

Awarded Merit from ISTD

A website highlighting the issue of ‘accentism’– accent & dialect discrimination through an online interactive map. It showcases personal experiences where people have been made to feel ashamed, dismissed or stereotyped because of how they speak.

During my internship at Field, I expanded on a recent rebrand for a national door manufacturer – European Doorsets, by developing a visual approach for social media, designing the first four weeks of posts, to improve online visibility and better reflect the brand’s voice.

A modular typeface built from the essence of Kelham Island, Sheffield. Inspired by the rich industrial history of the area.
